Newborn Session Information
I have been photographing Tulsa area babies for 17 years now. I’m very experienced, having photographed hundreds of babies over the years. Newborn photography is very different from other types of sessions. It’s important you choose someone with experience in handling your new baby. I’m very knowledgeable in safety and soothing your baby to keep them comfortable and happy during their session. Most people choose a full session for their newborns, because they want to capture of variety of poses and expressions from their new little love. It also gives us plenty of time for extra feeding and snuggling if needed. It is best to book a few months in advance to insure I have availabilty for you. Sessions are best done under 2 weeks old. I have had 3 -6 week old babies do just fine though, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. Newborn sessions take place on weekdays only and typically last 1 1/2 - 2 hours depending on how well the baby is sleeping. I provide everything for the newborn session, including props, fabrics, wraps, headbands, hats, outfits, etc. When you book your newborn session with me, I will send you more details on preparing for the big day.
*Newborn mini sessions are done on one backdrop color of your choice and one to two props if baby is being very cooperative. Mini sessions are one hour or less. If baby won’t fall asleep in the allotted time, pictures will be done awake.
