Photo contest reminder!

I’m an Aunt…again!

This time on my side of the family. My littlest sister had her first child on Friday. She was 5 weeks early, so a little bit of a rough start. I’m hoping she’ll get to come home in a day or two though, and then I’ll get to do her newborn portraits. Meet baby Brooklyn…

I think we’re having a little bit of a baby boom right now. Over the next week or so I’m expecting 3 newborns and another two due very soon. How exciting!!

Time for a contest!

I thought it would be fun to have a little photo contest…spice up the blog a little.

So here it is…Fresh Faces 2008…any child ages 6 months to 5 years old, who has never been photographed at Amber Welch Photography is eligible to enter. All you have to do is email a recent snapshot (no professional pictures please) to amberwelchphotography@gmail.com All entries need to include the child’s name, date of birth, and a valid contact email of parent or legal guardian. Twins and multiples may enter together. Siblings may be entered, but will be separate participants. Winning session will be for the winning child only.

I will accept entries through July 13th. On July 14th all photos will be put up on the blog for the public to vote on. Voting will close at the end of the day on July 20th.

All participants will receive a $25 print credit to use on a future session with me.

The winning child will receive - 1 Free Portrait Session… 1 free 11×14 wall portrait and 2 sets of wallets… no substitutions.

By entering the contest you agree to sign a model release. The model release allows me to use the photos from your session on my website/or other forms of advertisements.

But wait…my kids don’t qualify!!!

That’s okay…we can still use you. Just forward this information to your friends and family and if one of them wins, you will receive a $50 print credit to use on your next session.

Fresh Faces winners must book their session within 6 weeks of being named the winner. In order to receive the complimentary session and print credits, the session date must be booked and completed before September 1, 2008. Complimentary session must be of the child who wins. NON-TRANSFERABLE. By entering this contest you are allowing us to post the submitted photo of your child in a public manner on my blog.

2 sweet baby boys

I had the pleasure of spending my Saturday with these 2 little guys and their parents. I know the mom’s (and me) were a little disappointed at how much they fought their sleep. Little man Luke slept for like 2 minutes and little Cole didn’t sleep at all. I guess they were afraid they were going to miss something. Oh well…I still think we got some great ones, so here is a sneak peek for you guys…

I got to do a maternity session for an old friend last night.  It was a lot of fun!  I can’t wait to meet their new baby, which is a surprise…how exciting!
